Make a privacy request
You can ask about personal information associated with StayClarity and exercise the rights available where you live. We do not charge for ordinary, good-faith requests.
Effective · Version 2026-08-15
1. Self-service options
Signed-in members can download a structured account export or begin account erasure from account settings. Remove an individual review from My reviews. These are normally the fastest options and use a fresh email verification step for account deletion.
2. Email a request
If self-service does not cover your request or you cannot access the account, email privacy@stayclarity.com from the address associated with it when possible. State whether you want access, correction, cancellation or deletion, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or an appeal. Describe the account or content involved and include a review URL when the request is about a public contribution.
Mexico residents may exercise access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition rights (ARCO) and may revoke consent where applicable. Residents elsewhere may exercise the comparable rights provided by their law.
3. Verification and authorized agents
We verify a request using information proportionate to its sensitivity, usually control of the account email or a fresh sign-in. Do not send a government ID, financial information, or another sensitive document unless we specifically request it through a secure channel. If we cannot verify authority over the account or content, we may limit or deny the request and explain why.
An authorized agent may submit a request where law permits. We may ask for signed permission and may verify the request directly with the person concerned. A parent or guardian reporting a minor’s information should explain the relationship without sending unnecessary documents.
4. Our response
We acknowledge and respond within the period required by applicable law and will tell you if we reasonably need more time or information. A portable account export is provided in a commonly used machine-readable format. We will explain any denial and, where applicable, how to appeal or complain to a privacy or data-protection authority.
5. Deletion and exceptions
Account erasure revokes sessions, removes authentication and photo objects, and redacts personal review, report, and moderation text. Minimal non-identifying audit tombstones may remain for integrity, security, dispute prevention, or legal compliance. Information subject to a documented legal hold is preserved only for the scope and time required. Backup copies disappear through the provider’s normal rotation cycle.
6. No retaliation and appeals
We will not deny service or discriminate against you for making a good-faith privacy request. If you believe we made the wrong decision, reply to our response with “Privacy appeal” and explain why. A different qualified person will review the appeal where required.
